Sarah-Elizabeth’s approach often incorporates many techniques regardless of which modality you choose.

Zero Balancing

Developed by Fritz Smith, MD in the early 1970s, Zero Balancing is a powerful body-mind therapy that uses skilled touch to address the relationship between energy and structures of the body. Following a protocol that typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes, the practitioner uses finger pressure and gentle traction on areas of tension in the bones, joints and soft tissue to create fulcrums, or points of balance, around which the body can relax and reorganize. Zero Balancing focuses primarily on key joints of our skeleton that conduct and balance forces of gravity, posture and movement. By addressing the deepest and densest tissues of the body along with soft tissue and energy fields, Zero Balancing helps to clear blocks in the body’s energy flow, amplify vitality and contribute to better postural alignment. A Zero Balancing session leaves you with a wonderful feeling of inner harmony and organization. (http://www.zerobalancing.com/about)

CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

Developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive research between 1975 and 1983. Using gentle touch, generally no more than 5 gms of pressure, about the weight of a nickel, restrictions in the craniosacral system are released improving the function of the central nervous system. During a session your body relaxes deeply as you gently release from within.

CST is helpful for adult headache, neck and shoulder pain, TMJ, back issues, hip pain and chronic pain. Infants and young children benefit from CST when colic, chronic asthma, or allergies are creating discomfort, a CST session can calm the nervous system. Moms and Dads benefit from the session, watching how they might assist their infant at home following the treatments.

Myofascial Release (MFR)

Massage Therapy, Concord, NHA gentle technique which focuses on releasing the fascial tissue so muscles and tendons move more freely underneath the skin and surrounding tissue. The fascial tissue connects the tissues of the skin, muscle and tendons. Fascia also lines the belly and keeps organs separate. Trauma to the body creates scar tissue which constricts movement of the muscles and organs.
